apply to be a circle host

Every NAHLA circle has one host/facilitator that guides the group and provides the physical meeting space. Each circle consists of 8-12 women-identifying participants, including the host. NAHLA is continuously on the lookout for experienced, passionate spaceholders who feel called to host their own circle. NAHLA Community will provide all administration and circle structure/content/subject matter, but we need the circle hosts to be the face of each circle. If you are interested in hosting a circle, following are a few parameters:

  • Every circle host needs to have a physical space (i.e. their home, business, etc) that will be available on the same day/time each week for the circle to take place. Hosting an online circle is also an option. Please indicate this on the application form below.

  • Intentional commitment is an imperative element to being a host. We ask that all hosts commit to providing their facilitation and circle environment each week unless sick, out of town, or there is an emergency.

  • Hosts are compensated 70% of the revenue brought in from each circle. Example: If a 10-week circle has 8 participants each paying $200, the host will receive $1,120 for a total of 30 active facilitation hours (10 weeks of 3 hour circles), equating to $37/hour. NAHLA Community handles all administration and marketing, provides host training, and is here for support should anything arise within participant circle shares.

  • We look for circle hosts who have experience in space holding. This could be from a variety of different environments including teaching, workshop facilitation, coaching, recreation leading, counselling, etc. We want hosts/facilitators who have interacted with a variety of different backgrounds, personalities, emotionalities, etc and who are deeply passionate about the growth that happens in community. Emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, profound compassion and highly skilled active listening are all imperative assets.

  • Note that, though hosts do act as facilitators (keeping time, introducing concepts, guiding meditations, etc), they are also participants who are deeply integrated into the circle culture and who share vulnerably from the heart on their personal experiences, just as all others.

  • If you don’t have a lot of spaceholding experience but you still feel deeply called to this work, please still apply below. We would love to hear from you. NAHLA provides an orientation/training for all hosts so that everyone is on the same page, and we believe that having the right people is more important than a specific resume.
